Longboarding Austin
Jill, Jess, Bailey and I accompanied Riley on a trip down to Lago Vista (just outside of Austin) for what the longboarding community calls a "free ride". This is an event put on by local longboarding enthusiasts for the sole purpose of hanging out and riding with other longboarders. There was no race at this event but there were a few competitions for longest slide, best freestyle, biggest air, etc. There was also a raffle in which Riley won the grand prize, a Pocket Ace longboard from BombSquad. He was stoked! After the very long day (too long for those of us who don't actually ride longboards) we went into town to have dinner at Home Slice Pizza (one of our local favorites) and then headed over to the Congress Ave. Bridge to see the bats descend upon the city. We caught the very last of the bats then stopped for ice cream before heading back home. The last picture is just Bailey and me being silly as we are prone to do.
