Every nine weeks Bailey will have to be the "scientist of the day" in her class. Last Friday Bailey and her first grade helper got to perform an experiment in front of the first and fourth grade classes. Bailey decided to do a project on air pressure. Riley gave her the idea from swimming at Ryan's. The boys put a bucket over their head and then have a friend stand up on top of it to push them down under the water. Of course the air pressure keeps the water out of the bucket so they can breathe under water. As any good mom would I expressed my concerns of drowning to Riley. His reply "mom you can just swim out from the bottom you're not stuck" ~ can't argue with that. So Bailey demonstrated this with a plastic cup, piece of paper and a bucket of water. Her viewers were impressed.

And the goggles were for...? In case they had to jump in and save the cup? Ha ha! Seriously though, that's really cool. You must be proud of both your kids.
