Visiting Bailey

Today my friend and her kids came over and had lunch with Bailey. She's a blogger too so I had to make sure and get mine on here first:) Anyway, her kids thought it was fun and we even got to spend some time with Bailey on the school playground. Reese is hillarious ~ he decided to attack the monkey bars on his own and well they won. As soon as he called for his mom he slipped, did a complete flip and landed on his head. It's a good thing boys are so tough! He was fine and he didn't even cry. Bailey also spent an hour before school with her Papa. They had breakfast, toured the school and talked with Mr. Thomason. Anyone who knows Bobby can fully appreciate that statement. All in all I'd say she had a good day.

Monday Night Football

Here are the Keller Middle School Comanche's. Riley is first string corner and second string receiver. The team is off to a rocky start (0-2), but I have faith they can turn it around. Of course the benefit of them losing is that Riley plays a lot since he starts on defense. On Monday he had a few great tackles and ran the ball back on the punt return. He almost had an interception, but his own teammate batted the ball down ~ oh well. I'm sure he'll get one this Monday because Jeremy has to go to school. He's been skipping to go to the games, but unfortunately he can't skip every Monday. I'll get a close-up of Riley asap, but you know having your mom hunt you down on the sidelines just to get a close-up picture is not apparently the coolest thing.

College Football

Saturday night Jeremy and I went to our first college football game. Don't worry we weren't the only one's there just some of the only ones who were early:) We went to the tailgate party and everything. Well, actually at SMU they call it "the boulevard" because they shut down the entire main street on campus. It was crazy walking around with all the college kids. It kinda' makes me nervous to send my kids off!! SMU won, I got a t-shirt and mexican food ~ now that's a good night!

The "A" Team

You are looking at the new Keller Commanche "A" Team!! Friday night we took Riley and his friends out to Uno's to celebrate. We actually had a couple of people stop by and tell us how brave we were. There was a really funny mom moment that I won't describe in detail because it probably wouldn't be as funny but it involved flag football and bugspray!! Tonight is the first game ~ it's been raining all day so I hope it's not going to be cancelled ~ but hopefully I'll be able to blog again later. I'm soooo excited!! I grew up with three brothers who all played and a dad who loved the Redskins!!

Fabian's Birthday

Monday we spent the day with Fabian before his return to New York. We decided to throw him a little party since we'll miss seeing him on the 23rd his actual birthday. So we surprised him with cake, ice cream and a few gifts. My favorite picture is the one of the back of Nadirah's head. She leaned in exactly as I was getting him opening his best present. She thought it was pretty funny too so I told her I'd post it for her.

Late Night

I thought this was too funny to pass up. We were hanging out at our friends the other night pretty late. Riley was really tired so he just made a bed behind the couch and went right to sleep. Bailey was quick to follow, although, I'm kind of surprised she was able to fall asleep on the couch while we were all talking right beside her.

Ice Cream

We have been so busy since school started which is why I haven't been blogging much. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up my summer pace ~ sorry Becky. Anyway I always take the kids to get ice cream on the first day of school. They can pick whatever they want no matter the size:) The kids had a great first day. Bailey thinks Mr. Thomason is going to work out pretty well because he disciplines the boys. Of course the girls are still afraid of him so he hasn't needed to enforce the rules with them just yet.
