Halloween

We carve pumpkins every year, but this year I wasn't feeling it. So when the kids asked I said we weren't gonna do it. It didn't seem like anyone really cared, but during dinner on Tuesday the idea was brought up again and the kids were like "mom said no". Obviously that made me feel terrible! To make it up to them I decided to have a Halloween party complete with pumpkin carving, cookie decorating, home made pizza, chocolate covered strawberries and other goodies. I sent the kids a text early to let them know to be home by 5. They were super excited!! Apparently waiting to buy pumpkins until Halloween day is not a good idea! Jeremy and I called and drove to every Walmart, Tom Thumb, Kroger and Aldi in our area with no luck. I refused to give up and decided to spend the money and get them from a local pumpkin patch. I'm so glad that I followed through. We had an awesome night of family fun. We made strawberries with ghost faces, a mummy pizza, a pumpkin face pizza, decorated our cookies and carved our pumpkins while listening to scary music :) Jess is addicted to cookies of any kind. In the picture she is eating the frosting right out of the jar while decorating her cookie and that did not stop her from eating her cookie too. Jeremy was "backwards" and it was so creepy looking. When kids arrived at the door he would just stand there while Bailey, Jess or Nadirah handed out the treat. Some of the kids just stared, other laughed, and others were really confused. I thought it was pretty hilarious and to quote Riley "watch out mom is having one of her can't stop laughing fits". Bailey and Jess took their "first BFF picture ". And to finish out the night of family fun our kids went trick or treating and of course brought home way too much candy for my liking ;) 

Bieber Concert

He's finally here!!! Bailey has been waiting since July for this concert. To begin our preparations we both got manicures and Bieber nails. We did not want to be late and we knew traffic would be awful so I took her out of school early to get ready and go. We rushed around, curled hair, finished make-up and ran out the door. On the way we had to stop at Chick-fil-A so Bailey could have her two favorite things on the same day :) When we drove up at 5:30 there was already a huge line just to get in. Luckily one of the staff showed us a different entrance that was blocked by the Bieber buses, so we got right in with no waiting at all! Immediately we got in line for shirts. We found two shirts that she loved and matched our outfits perfectly. After that we headed to our seats. They were awesome. We were the first row above the floor so we could see everything!! I had to ask three different people to take our picture because as Bailey said "you asked the oldest and youngest person in here first". Bailey made sure to use the restroom during Carly Rae Jepson because "I will not leave during Bieber". Then it was time to wait again, but it was definitely worth the wait!! The concert was amazing!! Even if you didn't like him it was so entertaining and I'm sure anyone that went enjoyed themselves. Bailey and I sang our hearts out all night...I've been practicing just to make sure I was ready :) Bailey sang and danced and cried and cried some more!!! I had so much fun and I'm so glad I got to experience this with her. The only problem is she's ready to go again ;)

Homecoming

Riley is not really into football games, team spirit or school pride so he doesn't exactly look forward to the Homecoming game. It doesn't help that we play and lose to Southlake every year!! Jess on the other hand was so excited. They decided to make each other's mum's so they would be more personalized. Riley did an amazing job! I still can't believe how creative and crafty he can be when he wants to be. He spent at least eight hours working on it. She loved it!!! It was so big and she is so tiny that it practically covered her whole body! I need to take a close up of the bears because they both decorated Riley's longboard style :)

More Longboarding Pics

Riley is loving longboarding and is getting really good! We really enjoy watching him and I think he loves it that we're into it too. In the bottom picture he is "drafting" so he had his friend pull him while driving and got up to 40 mph!!! Needless to say he definitely got the "mom lecture" about that one and he promised never to do it again :)

Hodge Podge

Jeremy made me lunch and then wrote me a sweet note for my first day of work :) The coffee cups are how we are known at the local Starbucks. And the bottom photo's are from Oktoberfest. Whenever I ask Jeremy to take our picture he thinks it's super funny to take a bunch before we're actually ready. So at first I'm fixing my hair, then we're trying to figure out how we want to pose, and finally we end with a super cute mom/daughter photo.

Backyard S'mores

The first day of Texas cold led to backyard fire pit and s'mores. The kids love them and I love spending time with my kids :)
